Elevation Fight Team Welcomes New Members UFC veterans Clay Guida and Matt Brown

Elevation Fight Team in Colorado currently has a great lineup of impressive MMA fighters like Cat Zingano, Brandon Thatch, and Neil Magny. But just recently, they have welcomed three more UFC vets to the camp. It was reported that UFC bantamweight champ T.J. Dillashaw left Team Alpha Male and moved to Elevation Fight Team.

Now, two other prominent faces in the UFC, Clay Guida and Matt Brown, are making the move as well. Brown is currently on the 10th spot in the welterweight division, while Guida sits on the 15th spot in the featherweight division. Leister Bowling, the camp head coach, has released a statement about the new team members:

“[Brown] has great training and great coaches back home [in Ohio], too.But the training partners for him, I think he was just looking for a place where he knew every day he was gonna have somebody to train with,” Bowling said.

MusclePharm has been sponsoring Guida for quite sometime now. Being a relatively new addition to the team, Guida was reported that has been transferring from one MMA gym to another before finally joining Elevation Fight Team. He had been with Jackson Wink MMA in Albuquerque and with Team Alpha Male in Sacramento before moving the Elevation Fight Team in Colorado.Leister Bowling

Bowling admitted, though, that they are more than happy to welcome him in the team.

“It’s awesome to have him,” Bowling said.

Being under MusclePharm, Guida can get all of their training under one place, unlike with some previous deals where fighters had to go to other various gyms within their place to train particular areas.

Bowling also discussed some statements that were released by Urijah Faber saying that he was actively getting members from the Team Alpha Male to get to his camp.

“Our doors are always open to anybody who wants to come train. But I think the biggest thing Urijah said that’s not true is that I’m trying to actively recruit guys. I don’t want a whole lot of high-level guys. I want to be able to focus on the guys we do have. Right now, I think we have 10 guys in the UFC and I want to be able to give those guys every bit of attention I can,” he explained.

Both fighters, Brown and Guida, are preparing for their mixed martial arts fights in November. Brown will be headlining the said event this coming 21st which will be held in Mexico. He will be going up against Kevin Gastelum. Clay, on the other hand, will be going up against Thiago Tavares this coming 7th in Brazil.
